Alistair, perhaps you know better than I do, because what do I know, but have you ever been made aware of the Seekers doing anything truly helpful, or are they all as infuriatingly useless as they seem?
You can tell me what happened, or you can leave me imagining the Seekers have started recruiting farm animals. The latter is fine with me if you don't want to talk about it. I'm enjoying it. Eee-aww.
—don't tell Bethany Hawke I said that.
[ So he at least knows who he is, even if they're not quite acquainted. ]
Some mage or another slapped Seeker Darton, because--I don't know, something something circles. Cade saw, and he restrained her. Just restrained her. I asked Darton later, and he said that the mage walked away totally unharmed, but Cade was still somehow using excessive force on her. And then he told me if this was before the conclave, they'd have executed him. Executed him! But they're still going to punish him somehow, because. He restrained a woman hitting his superior, and immediately released her when he was told to.
The nerve.
Oh, and it's not his job to try to actually help Cade. It's just his job to, you know. Punish him.
...I told him if he tried to hurt Cade, I'd kill him. Which would be a little tricky with him living in the Hawke estate, but if he's got a habit of taking the Kirkwall backstreets...
Oh--That works. [ Sigh of relief. ] Thank you, Alistair. You're a good friend.
...I don't like killing people, you know. [ Just putting that out there. ] Zevran told me that I'd be a bad assassin. Because. I don't like killing people.
[ He snorts. But, you know, elegantly or whatever. Zevran will have to live a lot longer to live down failing to kill them that one time. While vastly outnumbering them. And having the element of surprise. ]
I don't know about bad or good assassins, but it'd probably make you an unhappy one.
I suppose that's true--But my point remains. I just don't want you to think--I mean. You know I don't like killing people, right? I'm not eager to do it.
[ Not that that'll stop her. ]
But thank you for making sure Cade is...relatively safe.
[Crystal]
[ She mad. ]

Once a Seeker told me I'd dropped some coins behind me. I'd have walked off without them otherwise and not had any money for breakfast.

[ Pause. ]
Have you made the acquaintance of Seeker Aleron Darton? If you wish to, I suggest you hasten to do so, while he's still here.
But personally, I wouldn't recommend it. He's an ass.
[ One whole swear, that's how mad she is. ]

[ But not enough to stop her from proceeding. ]

[ Just. Getting that out there. Because he figures she might actually do it. ]

[ By trying to murder Cade and whatnot. ]
