I'm pretty sure that they would gang up on me and kill me and cover it up afterwards. And it would be an abuse of power. But I'll keep in the back of my mind, just in case.
[ Really, though— ]
I hope things go all right with all of you. A lot of them want to be good men, if they aren't already. They just might not have learned how yet. We couldn't all be rescued from the Chantry by Wardens.
For what it's worth, I'm glad you were. I can't picture you as a Templar.
[And yes, that's a compliment.]
Wanting is a start, but I'm going to need to see actions backing that up. So will the rest of the Council, more or less. But I won't drag you further into politics; it's bad enough I got volunteered.
No, don't do that. Adelaide meant well, and she encouraged my speaking up on behalf of the non-Dalish apostates. I can't complain if I'm not doing anything to make it better, right? So, it is what it is. She puts up with my arguing during meetings and I provide the drinks afterward.
No, I was never in a Circle. My status with the Valo-Kas tended to protect me -not many people wanted to mess with a group of armed 'qunari'- as did taking assignments in areas where Templars are scarce or nonexistent. Here...not directly, but that isn't to say I haven't seen harassment or scapegoating. It's been better since the wake, or it was. But the abomination surfacing is just going to give Nerva and those like her more fuel for the fire.
I wouldn't worry. [ That is probably easy for him to say. ] They don't have a leg to stand on. There have been hundreds of abominations under the Chantry's system, even when the Veil was intact, and Cullen isn't unreasonable. [ Anymore. ]
Which is weird to think about -I read Varric's book about what happened in Kirkwall- but I guess that shows there's hope for the rest of them. A faint hope.

Or maybe it was the Grey Warden thing. Maybe they thought I would conscript them all if they said no.

Who volunteered you? I can trip them on the stairs or something.

Huh.

[ It's definitely personal. ]
Did the Templars ever bother you? I've never heard of a Qunari being put in a Circle.
[ Maybe because they're so rare here, maybe because they're left alone, maybe because they're killed instead. The options are endless. ]

[She'll leave it at that, don't worry.]
