From the moment Morrigan's arrived there's been all sorts of talk about him. I've steered clear as the last thing I wanted was to make her think I'm some sort of threat to him. What does that have to do with anything?
Oh, no, I mean Wynne. [ It's briefly difficult to stop himself from thanking Anders for steering clear of Kieran. Fortunately Alistair and Morrigan already patched up that issue and renegotiated Alistair's ability to see the boy, or he'd be a lot grouchier. ] Wynne had a son.
[He can't help the echo. It's difficult to process that thought. When had she had time? Granted, he'd been locked up for a year, but she'd been with Jonas and them then, fighting the archdemon. Surely she'd not been pregnant. So... before he'd been her student? He has no idea.]
No. I'd not known. Is he... He can't be a mage? Surely she'd not still have been a Loyalist if he was? Is?
Is. But she didn't know. They took him from her while she was still weak and she never saw him again or knew anything about him, until after the Blight.
[ That's all he knows. They kept in contact, but he didn't read Asunder. ]
Anyway, I think people learn to believe in things they can't fight, sometimes, so they don't go mad. And then if someone else does fight it, when they didn't, it's probably sort of threatening.

[The words are a little slow; he's confused.]

Anders sighs, and not just because Alistair fails at reading game-tie-in novels.]
They, they do. It goes back to fear, and if I could lift the weight of fear from my people... They took her son and she... Maker.
[He sounds resigned rather than frustrated.]
May they never have opportunity to tear apart a family for magic again.

Right now, if you have time.
